The device produces an enormously loud, pulsating and aggressive ultrasonic sound of about 21 kHz which is not audible to most people, but represents a considerable annoyance for wild animals which, therefore, try to avoid it. In some cases (not always!) it is also possible to drive away dogs and cats that are used to human community.
